Christy M. Howley Connois is a member of the law firm of Bowman & Howley in Gretna, Louisiana, and has been practicing law for 27 years and counting. She is a native New Orleanian, attended St. Mary’s Dominican High School and lives on the Westbank in New Orleans.
She worked for insurance defense firms for many years, before forming Bowman & Howley in 2002 in Gretna. She has a general civil and criminal practice, specializing in the areas of family law, including divorce, custody, child support, property partition, adoptions and related matters, as well as personal injury, successions including wills and estates, general civil litigation matters and both felony and misdemeanor criminal representation.
She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association’s House of Delegates, and a member of the LSBA’s Committee on the Profession. She has been listed in SuperLawyers in multiple years including 2024 as one of the top family law attorneys in Louisiana.
She teaches professionalism at both Loyola and Tulane Law Schools via the first and third year law student programs, for the Louisiana State Bar Association. She is active in civic organizations and is the former Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Volunteers of America Southeast Louisiana, a local non-profit agency. She received her undergraduate degree from Loyola University in 1990 and her law degree from Loyola Law School in 1994. She and her husband have one child.
